With the conference starting tonight, D attendees are dribbling in, so I took the opportunity to ask some of the early arrivals (some poolside) their queries for Gates and Jobs.

Here are: Blake Krikorian, founder of Sling Media; Presto’s Joe Beninato; singer/songwriter Jill Sobule; PR mavens Brooke Hammerling and Donna Sokolsky; and Paul Steiger, who retired recently as managing editor of The Wall Street Journal (his new title is editor at large).
