More Apple News in the Holy Month of the iPhone
While we’re not liveblogging Steve Jobs’s appearance at Apple’s Worldwide Developers Conference today at 10 a.m. PDT in San Francisco, there will be no shortage of digital monks who will be scribbling his every word down as the gospel.
That includes MacRumors, which even has a picture of, wait for it, a mysterious covered banner at the Moscone Center on its site; Gizmodo, which, in its coverage, amusingly dubs the event “the annual running of the Nerds”; and Engadget, which also has another veiled banner picture.
Oh, the drama.
Speaking of movies, maybe there is one to be made called “The Mystery of the Cloaked Banner,” which sounds a lot like a Scooby-Doo episode my son is so fond of watching, and maybe he can watch it on iTunes. That’s because The Wall Street Journal is saying in a story today that Apple is in talks with Hollywood studios about making movies available for rental on iTunes.
That and the usual flashy upgrades in software and services, perhaps some shiny new versions of existing hardware and an inevitable look at the–cue holy music, please–iPhone should keep the Apple faithful inspired today.
