Benazir Bhutto Lives On

But the cowards who cruelly took the life of the charismatic but controversial politician cannot stop her words and efforts to bring greater democracy to her country in the face of grave personal danger, especially since they are now forever disseminated globally on the Web.

For example, here’s an interview she did with David Frost in November, in which Bhutto discusses the first attack on her, which was unsuccessful:

And, incredibly, here is her father, Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto, who was also Prime Minister of Pakistan until a military coup of his government and who was later hanged in 1979, speaking to the youth of the country:

No disrespect to her, but her life and death commands more respect for moral values and long term interests than short term gains. The same monster she not only supported but also helped thrive(to wage Jihad in Indian Kashmir after 1988 when Soviets withdrew from Afghanistan) took her life. The same goes for her father who once commented “We will live off of grass but, will make Islamic Atom Bomb”. Now, we are worried about Nukes (courtesy of Zulfikar) getting into the hands of Islamic Hardliners (courtesy of Benazir & Zia-Ul-Haq). I hope we have learned our lessons.

One thing that we have learned is that piracy is not a pricing issue. It’s a service issue. The easiest way to stop piracy is not by putting antipiracy technology to work. It’s by giving those people a service that’s better than what they’re receiving from the pirates.
