Sock Tubes Present Oscar-Nominated Movies

We got such a great reaction from our Obama Girl/Obamapology online videos that we posted Tuesday, BoomTown has decided to reinstate our practice of showcasing excellent online videos that we started posting during the writers’ strike.

Our premise has been simple: That online video in both short and long form is the future and its development is important to pay attention to.

Here is yet another funny one–funny works well online–part of a series called SockTubePresents, which is essentially a sock puppet parody of Oscar-nominated movies. I actually think they are almost better than the real thing.

Here’s “Atonement” and “Juno” (don’t miss the excellent parody of the Moldy Peaches song at the end, which is already kind of a parody):

And, as a special treat, here are the actual Moldy Peaches Kimya Dawson and Adam Green, from a recent appearance on “The View” singing the movie’s hit song, “Anyone Else but You”:
