Decker repeats the often used canard that Yahoo is a content company rather than a search company.

Maybe so. But Google is hardly JUST a search company either. I use Google for mail, photos, document storage, and several other non-search activities, and in many cases I once used Yahoo for those same things. I switched because I tried both, and Google was better.

Yahoo offers mediocre services, and then asks users to pay for something marginally better.

Yahoo’s only option at this point is to start offering much better services and hope that Google starts charging for similar services.

I don’t think either thing is likely to happen.
