Activision: FY Q1 Stand-Alone Results Topped Guidance

Activision Blizzard (ATVI) says results for its fiscal first quarter, which ended June 30, on a stand-alone basis–before its recent deal with Vivendi–were well ahead of previous guidance. The company said revenues were about $650 million, above its previous projection of $500 million; GAAP per-share earnings were 16-18 cents, above the old guidance of 4 cents. On a non-GAAP basis, the company says profits were 21-23 cents, above the old guidance of 13 cents.
