QOTD: Worst Macworld Ever?

Was it a great keynote? Well, no. Phil Schiller actually did a great job delivering it. Has anyone watched CEOs from other companies? They’d be lucky to have their keynotes delivered by Schiller, let alone Jobs. Apple followers are spoiled.”

Anyone who would claim this is the worst keynote from Apple has not seen the ones by the CEOs in the years preceding the return of Steve Jobs in ’96. Look them up in YouTube, or Google it. You will be surprised how much better Schiller is.

As for what was announced, with Apple saying this is their last MacWorld, it makes sense. The whole point of dropping out is so they can announce products on their schedule and not wait for a few shows a year. They’re cranking out too many good things to horde them for special events controlled by outside companies.

I thought Schiller did a great Job, given what he had to announce. And given the audience response, I think a lot of folks agreed.

It’s not about the 2009 Macworld.
It’s about what will the 2010 Macworld will be like. The AAPL CEO says he is healthy, but the 2010 Macworld will be a Wake where the conventioneers will reminisce about what Macworld used to like. All the while the party at CES in Vegas will show a new Microsoft OS and some kind of Yahoo resurrection.
Apple dropping out of Macworld is a major corporate blunder.
