Last week, the nonprofit organization that operates Wikipedia received a $500,000 grant from the William and Flora Hewlett Foundation. Former-eBay-exec-turned-Omidyar-partner Matt Halprin will become the ninth member of the Wikimedia Board of Trustees as part of the deal.
