Microsoft Probes "Black Screen Of Death"

Microsoft (MSFT) has confirmed that it is investigating a problem known as “the black screen of death” which seems to be affecting some Windows users, the BBC reports. The error results in a totally black screen after logging in. The company is looking into reports that the trouble is related to its latest security update, which was issued November 10; the problem apparently affects not only Windows 7 but also Vista and XP systems.
