Viral Video: The Long NBC Late-Night Nightmare Continues! (Well, for NBC, Not for Us!)

Oh, it goes from bad to worse and to much, much funnier.

Here are a few new online videos about NBC’s best drama in years: The wrestling over its late-night lineup.

It looks like “The Tonight Show” host Conan O’Brien will be gone soon, chin-checked out by former host Jay Leno, whose 10 pm show on the GE (GE)–and soon to be Comcast (CMCSA)–broadcast television network bit.

But O’Brien is biting back harder, as you will see, along with “The Late Show” legend David Letterman on CBS (CBS), who is moving into viciously hysterical routines against Leno, whom he seems to dislike.

Here are some of their latest videos:

When the great Johnny Carson retired and Jay took over the Tonight Show,(against Johnny's wishes), NBC had great shows on at 10 to lead into the news and then people would stay tuned for the show. When Conan took over, his show had decent ratings, even with his show debuting after all the season finales had taken place. When the Jay Leno Show started it immediately had bad ratings because people realized how bad it was. This had a ripple effect on the local news at 11 and then the Tonight Show at 11:35. If NBC keeps Conan on at his current time and put quality shows on at 10, his ratings would be much better. Plus with DVRs, millions of people are opting to watch the shows the next day or later, so there needs to be a change in the ratings system. The bottom line is, Jay needs to do the right thing like Johnny did, and step away for good.
