More iPhone 4 Lines as Walk-In Sales Begin at AT&T

The lines for Apple’s (AAPL) new iPhone 4 are getting shorter–but not that much shorter. This morning, AT&T (T) began selling the device to walk-in customers at its stores across the United States, and once again significant lines began forming before the doors opened. A quick search of Twitter shows queues at stores around the country, some numbering well over 100 customers.

Sadly for those who dragged themselves out of bed while it was still dark, there weren’t always enough iPhones to go around. Within an hour of opening, some stores were sending customers away with barcodes redeemable for a phone as soon as the next shipment arrives.
