Recently I was looking at the Ipad in the Apple Store(killing time). I would have to say that almost the whole crowd consisted of giggling girls and dorky boys of all ages. I’m getting the feeling that once Apple users grow up they’ll move on to better things for cheaper. One thing I found interesting is that nobody was looking at iphones. They had 2 tables of them for people to try out. The only people looking at ipads were 2 kids playing games. This was in Albany, NY. Is there a regional bias for iphones and ipads?

I’m computer literate and have been for the last 25 years however I’m also a public library user and Amazon online bargain hunter who sees no advantage in paying $10 or more for electronic downloads of books, excepting those that are no longer copyrighted?
Can these ‘purchases’ be sent on to others to read, which is what I do with many of my books?
Why can’t ebooks be treated like NetFlix dvds and rented for reading and then ‘returned’ or blocked from reading after
    X days?
