NBC U's Peacock Equity Bets on Voice Chat Start-Up Vivox

Peacock Equity, the joint venture investment fund co-owned by GE Capital and NBC Universal, has invested $2 million in Vivox, which sells “voice chat services for social applications”–i.e., games, virtual worlds, etc. Other investors in the Boston-based company include Benchmark Capital, Canaan Partners, GrandBanks Capital and IDG Ventures.
