Intel May Escape Fine in FTC Deal

Sources familiar with the matter tell Reuters that Intel and the FTC are talking over a deal that requires the company to adjust its business practices, specifically to limit its use of volume discounts. Discussions are said to be ongoing, but a self-imposed deadline of July 22 means a settlement could be announced as early as this week.
