Intel and FTC Will Not Be Making a Settlement Announcement Tomorrow

Evidently the Federal Trade Commission needs a bit more time to work out its antitrust settlement with Intel . With the deadline for reaching a deal set to expire tomorrow, the FTC has extended the temporary withdrawal of its case against Intel to Friday, August 6. If successful, the talks would resolve allegations that Intel unfairly discouraged computer makers from using chips made by rivals like AMD and Nvidia.
