Apple Hopes for Best Case Scenario in iPhone Flap

As promised, Apple this morning launched its iPhone 4 Case Program, offering free cases to customers who purchase the device or refunds to those who already have via a handy iPhone app that reviews Apple IDs, IMEIs and serial numbers for eligibility (iTunes link.) Case options include Apple’s (AAPL) iPhone 4 Bumper, smoke or clear Incase Snap Cases, Belkin’s Shield Micra, Griffin’s Motif and Reveal Etch, and Speck ‘s Fitted Case and PixelSkin HD. Color choice seems to be limited to black, smoke or clear.

All cases ship within three to five weeks.

Customers who purchased an iPhone 4 before July 23, 2010, have through August 22, 2010, to submit a claim; all others have 30 days from the purchase date of the device.
