Don't Like Fast Web Connections? Get Yourself to Alaska.

In a hurry to get around the Internet? Best to avoid Alaska. The Web there works well enough for Sarah Palin–she’s big into Facebook and Twitter, snafus aside–but a big swath of the state is still on “narrowband,” with super-pokey connection speeds.

So says Web infrastructure giant Akamai (AKAM), via its just-released “State of the Internet” report:

And if speed’s your thing? Then just like last year, you’ll want to get yourself to Delaware, where people enjoy incorporating companies and plentiful broadband.

    District of Columbia: 7.4% has slow internet & also 40% has fast internet > 5Mbps … so, DC is slow or fast internet district?
