BlackBerry PlayBook Will Cost Less Than $500
When Research in Motion’s forthcoming BlackBerry Playbook tablet ships early next year it will be “very competitively priced.” This according to company co-CEO Jim Balsillie, who tells Bloomberg Businessweek that the price will be “under” $500. Just how far under $500 it will fall remains to be seen, but presumably the point here is to make it a compelling buy compared to Samsung’s $599.99 Galaxy Tab and Apple’s iPad, which starts at $499. So $498.99?
