Google is passing out raises of 10 percent or better plus holiday bonuses to all employees (current full-time headcount north of 23,000) “to recognize the contribution that each and every one of you makes,” according to a leaked internal memo from CEO Eric Schmidt. The unspoken message in light of the fierce competition for tech talent: We love you, we need you, please don’t run off to Facebook or AOL or some sexy start-up.
