Craig McCaw Steps Down as Clearwire Chairman
Clearwire confirmed in a regulatory filing on Thursday that Craig McCaw is stepping down as head of the wireless company’s board of directors.
McCaw’s resignation is effective on Friday, Clearwire said in the filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission. Clearwire, which is majority owned by Sprint Nextel, said that the move is not due to any disagreements with the company, but did not offer any additional information about McCaw’s reasons for stepping down.
