Perhaps David Blaine Will Make Sprint's Subscriber Losses Disappear

Get ready for another wireless industry special event, because Sprint has an “industry first” to announce. This morning the company distributed invitations to a February 7 gathering in New York City’s Edison Ballroom hosted by Sprint CEO Dan Hesse and magician David Blaine, who together will show us all that “the impossible is possible”–whatever that means. My guess is it’s an Android-related announcement–perhaps a new Evo running Gingerbread–since a second CDMA iPhone after Verizon’s announcement yesterday wouldn’t really qualify as an industry first.

An iPhone running on WiMax would certainly be an industry first. Not likely but Apple does love that “one more thing” surprise.

Let’s hope that Blaine will make the duopoly of Verizon and AT&T disappear so we get stronger competitors to these two expensive carriers so we all can get better prices and more innovation.

Technically, it would be an industry first if Sprint’s CDMA iPhone were to start shipping THAT DAY. It’s not like Apple would have to make many of them for Sprint.

I now use Sprint & its great compared to AT&T & im glad we have a choice, because if it was only verizon & AT&T we would all get screwed by a monopoly controlled pricing system, Sprint keeps the bad boys Honest

After being stuck with AT&T , Im glad i have sprint & their pricing plans are way better than either AT&T or Verizon & the service is just as good & having Sprint keeps the other two honest

I break down a product the same way I break down a character I’m going to play. I try to get inside the mind of that person — the user, the consumer — and figure out why they’re doing something and what they want from it.
