Full D@CES Interview Video: Nvidia's Jen-Hsun Huang

As promised, after posting highlights last week, here’s the full video from an interview with Nvidia CEO Jen-Hsun Huang at our D@CES event at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas.

The chipmaker exec talked a lot about how mobile is about to see super-duper-duper smartphones and more.

Here’s Huang in a video of the interview with Mobilized’s Ina Fried:

    Will exceed all expectations…

    Bravo Jen-Hsun…

Yes, it will be very exciting what comes after that…

It is amazing how history repeat itself…

    Analogy wise…

Start-Taskbar interface is like the “command line” interface of the past…I call it “Windows Classic”

Metro interface is the like the Start-Taskbar interface of the past…I call it “Windows Next”

Smartphone/Tablets running Metro will have a “Windows Classic” option and WILL run Office as it is in the current form…

The only question is WILL YOU WANT TO?

When new Microsoft Office that ran on Windows in the past in early nineties did people want to go to Command Line ‘Word”. Yes, it was available and maybe some people did but what about the mainstream…

What is wanted is Microsoft standardizing on Metro and evolve it as the time goes and bring on more and more software like Office to the new interface

Sticking with x86 and Start-Taskbar interface for tablets is infinitely risky at the best and totally disastrous at the worst…

Remember, my Windows Mobile 5 has Start-Taskbar interface just like initial PCs had DOS but Microsoft moved to the GUI and rest is history…

    So in summary…

    Standardize on Metro…
Be “irrationally aggressive” with Windows Phone 7…It will be the best use of some of the ~40 Billion $ cash horde you have…
    Stop promoting Windows 7 tablets…
Introduce Metro tablets and be “irrationally aggressive”…
Support Start-Taskbar interface as Windows Classic for those who want it, may or may not be fully compatible…
