TripAdvisor Acquires EveryTrail for Mobile App Push

Expedia-owned TripAdvisor, which offers reviews of hotels and travel services on the Web, is expanding its mobile offerings through the acquisition of Palo Alto, Calif.-based EveryTrail. EveryTrail has a publishing platform that makes it easy for tourists to create outdoor tours and city guides for mobile devices. Terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.
