    I think the other issue is will there be a iTune type program for the WebOS that will work on Windows, Apple and Linux.

    Integration between WebOS and PC interesting…

    Today, WebOS is effectively a visual shell over Linux on their phones…. I’d argue it is the best visual shell (GUI) I’ve seen over a unix-based system. How will that translate to the PC?

    Options:
    a) dual boot linux/webOS on PC;
    b) virtual PC running linux/webOS on Win7 PC just as WinXP currently is supported “compatibility mode” under Win7;
    c) port of WinOS GUI as a visual shell over Win7.

    Key is the “synergy” (sick of the word) that WebOS on the Palm phones is famous for: integrating contacts, mail, calendars, messaging, login/passwords, etc. for Facebook, Gmail, eXchange, Live, etc for multiple login ids into one unified view of all mail, all calendars, all contacts, etc. automatically synced … at that!

    And with ePrint integrated, if done well, we could have the same seamless interface to all the various “cloud” services integrated across phone, pad and PC.

    Now… will they provide WebOS for the Mac? Given the common linux/unix underpinnings, it should be even easier to do for the Mac.

Values aren’t just for idealists — they matter. If a company’s practices make you uncomfortable, pay attention to your instincts and be true to them.
