First D9 Speakers: Iger, Elop, Apotheker, Schmidt, DARPA Head and More!
Has it already been almost a year already since the last D: All Things Digital conference?
Yes, indeedy–we’re getting older fast.
That’s why Walt Mossberg and I have been busy ferreting away on a speaker line-up for the ninth of our annual confabs of top tech and media players.
It’s not ever easy to top the previous year–D8 included Apple’s Steve Jobs, Facebook’s Mark Zuckerberg and Hollywood director James Cameron, among others–but we keep trying to for D9.
As usual, there is no particular theme, although it’s clear that we’ll still be talking digital disruption out the wazoo.
It all takes place just south of Los Angeles from May 31 to June 2, 2011.
As you can see below, we’ve already assembled the initial group of terrific interviewees who will be grilled onstage (some quite literally, as happened last year).
And, also as usual, we’ll still be adding more big names to the sold-out event, along with several demos of new products.
Until then, here’s the initial line-up:
Eric Schmidt, incoming Executive Chairman and outgoing CEO of Google
Bob Iger, CEO of Disney
Dr. Regina Dugan, director of DARPA, the research and development office for the U.S. Department of Defense.
Brian Dunn, CEO of Best Buy
Shantanu Narayen, CEO of Adobe
Léo Apotheker, CEO of Hewlett-Packard
Stephen Elop, CEO of Nokia
Dick Costolo, CEO of Twitter
Jack Ma, CEO of the Alibaba Group
Mark Pincus, CEO of Zynga
Andrew Mason, CEO of Groupon
