Android Market Opens Book Store

Now that Motorola’s Xoom, the first tablet to run Android 3.0 Honeycomb, has begun shipping, Google is finally lighting up the e-books section of Android Market.

An outpost of the Ebookstore it launched last December, the Android Marketplace Books is the first of a handful of new offerings expected to make the digital storefront more competitive with iTunes. Two more expected additions: music and movies.
