Will Apple Postpone the International Launch of iPad 2?

“Amazing” demand for the new iPad 2 has force Apple to once again push out ship times for the device. At launch, the company promised to ship iPad 2s ordered online in two to three days, but that quickly changed to two to three weeks. And this morning it changed again.

Purchase an iPad 2 online today and you’ll have to wait four to five weeks for it to arrive. And the device’s international launch is fast approaching. It’s scheduled to go on sale in over 20 more countries on March 25.

Will whatever combination of overwhelming demand, constrained supply and impact from the recent earthquake in Japan that’s causing ship times in the States to slip, force Apple to postpone the iPad 2′s international debut? Or are slipping ship times in the U.S. simply evidence of Apple stockpiling supply in preparation for it? Remember, the company did postpone the international launch of original iPad by one month following similarly strong demand…

Maybe that guy named Godot arrived with a Rimm Playbook & Apple was so astonished that it stopped iPad manufacture in tribute?

    You think?

You may be on to something, but……Nah!

4 to 5 week ship time delay – 2.5m to 3.5m monthly production – sounds like a s#%€ load of iPad2′s have been ordered, far in excess of the .5 to 1m the Analysts have guestimated.

it’s a shame but they have to. and after using iPad 2 over the weekend. I’m certain that most of the people I know should get one. The end of the family computer.
