International iPad 2 Launch Appears on Track for Friday

With iPad 2 stock-outs still a relatively common occurence in the U.S., online ship times for the new device now pushed out to four to five weeks, and its component supply chain struggling to recover from the earthquake in Japan, some–myself included–have wondered whether Apple will delay the first wave of international iPad 2 launches, scheduled Friday. Not likely, a company spokesperson tells Tech Radar. “Everything that is on the Web site still holds true. The Web site says March 25th and that’s when it’ll be.” That should put an end to resellers peddling the device overseas for a huge mark-up.
