RIM Taps Tiny Hippos in Effort to Win Hearts, Minds of Application Developers
Research In Motion said late on Friday that it has acquired Tiny Hippos, a maker of software for mobile application development.
With the deal, Tiny Hippos said it plans to add BlackBerry support to its Ripple development tool. The acquisition follows RIM’s announcement Thursday of a weaker-than-expected earnings forecast as well as plans to add Android support in the upcoming BlackBerry tablet.
