PlayStation Network Still Down After Sustaining Injuries Last Week

That’s some serious collateral damage. The PlayStation Network, which was attacked by hackers, has now been offline for five days, with no end in sight. A spokesperson on its blog wrote today: “I know you are waiting for additional information on when PlayStation Network and Qriocity services will be online. Unfortunately, I don’t have an update or timeframe to share at this point in time.” The network, which provides PlayStation 3 users with downloadable games, movies and TV shows, originally thought it would be operational again over the weekend.

so let me get this straight….A reporter who effectively works for the Wall Street Journal cannot be bothered to even try to get a comment from Sony? Furthermore, we aren’t even taking about some obscure camera or other electronic device, this effects 70 million users.
I know, I know its a predominantly free service, but many users credit cards were the currency exchanged for hostage-like services on the network. This could have MASSIVE implications if suddenly 1 million cc numbers were reveled across a variety of industries, let alone people. Do your job or hire me to do it for you. I would love nothing more than to call Sony PR and say, “Wall street Journal, do you have a comment on the claims that your users e-mail addresses, names, and cc numbers are outside of your secure sandbox of user data? If so were they encrypted or hidden in any way?
