CrowdGather Buys Paintball Forum PbNation.com for $3.2M

CrowdGather, known for its proclivity to buy forum sites, will announce tomorrow it is acquiring $3.2 million in cash and stock to acquire PbNation.com, a large online paintball community.

Some $800,000 of the PbNation price is based on meeting traffic targets. Currently, PbNation has 20 million monthly page views from 1.9 million unique visitors, most of them male. It was founded in 2001.

Crowdgather, which is publicly traded as an over-the-counter stock, raised $7.85 million in March and said it would use the money to buy more forum sites. It had previously bought sites such as Pocketables.net, Forumer.com, DigiTalkShop.com, Lefora and FreeForums.org.
