T-Mobile’s Father’s Day Deal Gives Dads Free Data for a Year

In honor of Father’s Day, T-Mobile is offering those who sign up for a new contract on Saturday a year’s free data service on the company’s low-end data plan.

Those who sign up for a higher-end data plan on Saturday can get $10 off per month for a year, as can those who sign up for a new mobile broadband service account.

The deal isn’t limited to dads, but does run only on Saturday and requires a new two-year contract for new and existing customers. It also requires committing to a carrier that may not be around by next Father’s Day, given that it is trying to sell itself to AT&T.

T-Mobile has a history of running Dad’s Day promotions, including a deal last year in which every phone in the store was free — a promotion that led the company to its best sales day ever, according to some reports.
