This video was a long time coming for Weird Al — when he first contacted Lady Gaga about his parody of her hit “Born This Way,” he was told she didn’t approve. But after he put the song on YouTube and announced it wouldn’t be on his next album, he received a ton of disappointed feedback from his fans — and from Gaga herself. Turns out she loves the song, but her manager had never forwarded it to her in the first place. Weird Al released the video this week, and Gaga joined the ranks of the parodied.
