Electronic Arts Closes $750 Million Acquisition of PopCap

Electronic Arts has officially closed the acquisition of Seattle’s PopCap Games, which it agreed to buy for $750 million in cash and stock. Counting additional payments down the road, the deal could soar to as much as $1.3 billion. Now EA can claim ownership of such casual hit titles as Plants vs. Zombies, Bejeweled and Zuma.
