Facebook Goes to the Public Sector for Next Board Pick

Facebook’s seventh board member is Erskine Bowles, the former Clinton White House chief of staff and current co-chair of President Barack Obama’s bipartisan National Commission on Fiscal Responsibility and Reform. Bowles also has experience in academia and private equity. We might also note that Bowles is not a woman, just like every other board member of a prominent Web 2.0-era company.
