Arrington’s Final Remarks As TechCrunch Head (Except Not Really)

TechCrunch founder Mike Arrington took the stage at his Disrupt conference in San Francisco this morning, having just been formally ousted as editor of his own site. But! Arrington’s not going anywhere just yet, he’ll be at the conference, doing interviews while wearing a green “Unpaid Blogger” shirt and looking for investments as head of CrunchFund, he said.

Arrington said “There’s a little drama around TechCrunch right now and me, but the focus is on the content and in particular the companies launching.” He added, “It’s a sad day for me, because I built this.”

Arrington said he’d continue to run the CrunchFund, where AOL will remain an investor. But he’ll try to avoid conflicts of interest for the next few days, he said.
