T-Mobile Sides With Samsung in Apple Spat

Samsung has a new ally in its pitched IP battle with Apple: T-Mobile. On Wednesday the carrier filed an amicus brief opposing Apple’s efforts to ban sales of Samsung’s Galaxy products in the U.S. “While T-Mobile respects intellectual property rights and believes that owners of intellectual property deserve the right to present their arguments and evidence of infringement in court, a preliminary injunction is a drastic and extraordinary measure, and the courts should pay particular attention to its public consequences,” the company said in a statement.
