MoBeam Banks $5 Million for Mobile Barcode Technology

Cupertino, Calif.-based MoBeam has raised $4.9 million in capital to solve the problem of most point-of-sale systems at retail not being able to read a barcode displayed on a mobile phone screen. Investors in the round include Yet2Ventures, Samsung Ventures and Mitsui.
