HTC Loses Initial Ruling in One Patent Case Against Apple

A United States International Trade Commission judge on Monday issued a preliminary ruling that Apple did not infringe on four patents held by HTC, with whom Cupertino is in an ongoing legal battle involving multiple cases and jurisdictions. HTC’s general counsel said in a statement that the ruling is just one step in the process, and that the company is confident it has “a strong case for the ITC appeals process.”
