Jobs makes an important point to Rupert Murdoch. An excerpt from his bio:
“You’re blowing it with Fox News,” Jobs told him over dinner. “The axis
today is not liberal and conservative, the axis is
constructive-destructive, and you’ve cast your lot with the destructive
people. Fox has become an incredibly destructive force in our society.
You can be better, and this is going to be your legacy if you’re not
careful.” Jobs said he thought Murdoch did not really like how far Fox
had gone. “Rupert’s a builder, not a tearer-downer,” he said. “I’ve had
some meetings with James, and I think he agrees with me. I can just
tell.”

Steve makes a great point. Eventually, people will be fed up of this conservative vs. liberal atmosphere in the media, and go elsewhere for their news. Like iPads. : )
Along with original content and posts from across the Dow Jones network, this section of AllThingsD includes Must-Reads From Other Web Sites — pieces we’ve read, discussions we’ve followed, stuff we like. Six posts from external sites are included here each weekday, but we only run the headlines. We link to the original sites for the rest. These posts are explicitly labeled, so it’s clear that the content comes from other Web sites, and for clarity’s sake, all outside posts run against a pink background.
We also solicit original full-length posts and accept some unsolicited submissions.
