1000memories’ Nuts-and-Bolts Way to Bring the Past Online: Scanning Old Photos

While Facebook’s new Timeline aims to help users tell their personal stories from birth to the present, it’s somewhat hollow, because many users don’t have much in the way of online updates or photos from before they joined Facebook. Now start-up 1000memories has built a simple iPhone scanner app called ShoeBox to digitize old printed photos. Photos can be shared with family and friends on 1000memories and exported to Facebook.
