Zynga Plants Platform Seed for Facebook

Facebook needs more Zyngas.

The gaming company’s initial public offering, which valued the firm at $8.9 billion, is the best evidence yet of the power of Facebook’s platform. To justify Facebook’s own valuation target of more than $100 billion, it will help if the social network can demonstrate that its platform can drive huge growth for other categories besides games.
