Apple Had More Web Traffic Than Wal-Mart in November

Hard as it might be to believe, Apple attracted more online visitors in the United States during November than Wal-Mart.

According to a comScore press release first noted by Ad Age, Apple’s Web properties saw more than 79 million U.S. unique visitors last month. Meanwhile, Wal-Mart saw nearly 59 million.

How did Apple manage to surpass the world’s largest retailer in unique Stateside visitors? And how did it do it during one of the biggest shopping months of the year? ITunes, according to Ad Age, was responsible for about 30 percent of that 79 million total.
