For Every 1,700 Tweets, Someone Dies #BlameTwitter

I’m declaring a temporary break from my personal infographic moratorium to post this most excellent infographic making fun of other infographics.

What happens when you compare Twitter’s most recent usage stats to all sorts of other terrible things that are bad — toxins in the environment, peak oil, death rates, cigarette and drug usage, obesity?

You might just be tempted to think the growth of Twitter is causing all this bad stuff to happen!

At the very least, you get some mesmerizing pie charts and illustrations. And a good hashtag: #BlameTwitter.
