Why do I simultaneously like and am annoyed by Zooey Deschanel and Joseph Gordon-Levitt?

Perhaps it’s their twee names, perhaps their indie acting tics, perhaps their faux-childlike thing — all while being so dang cute.

Others must agree, since the video of the pair — who co-starred in the movie, “(500) Days of Summer” — singing Nancy Wilson’s “What Are You Doing New Year’s Eve?” has gotten more than six million views on YouTube since its posting this weekend.

Here they are at full power, with a note on Deschanel’s Hello Giggles site that says she bonded with Gordon-Levitt “over a mutual appreciation for Harry Nilsson and Nina Simone.”

Hello Giggles? Ironically juxtaposing Harry Nilsson and Nina Simone? A ukulele? Could they be any more hipster?
