Hon Hai Plant Dispute Is Resolved

Microsoft Corp. and its contract manufacturing partner Foxconn Technology Group said late Wednesday that worker unrest at a plant in central China this month has been resolved and most of the staff returned to work.

The U.S. software giant said in a statement that a protest erupted earlier this month over “staffing assignments and transfer policies, not working conditions” at the Wuhan facility, where Foxconn reportedly manufactures the Xbox game console. Redmond, Wash.-based Microsoft said workers at the plant manufacture hardware products but didn’t specify which ones.
