Uh-Oh: Yahoo Loses a Top Sales Exec to Amazon

According to sources, Yahoo has lost one of its top advertising sales execs to Amazon.

Seth Dallaire, who was in charge of Yahoo’s important midmarket advertising accounts unit, will take a newly created role of VP of North America sales at the online commerce giant.

His departure is a blow to Yahoo, especially as it tries to revive its troubled advertising business. The company reports earnings next week, which are expected to show continued weakness in its key business.

The well-regarded Dallaire joined Yahoo in 2009 from Microsoft.

The ad exec told his staff today.
