iPad Already Has 20,000 Education Apps, Says Apple

Apple’s new iPad textbook initiative was only just announced this morning, but it’s already got quite a head start. During an event at New York’s iconic Guggenheim Museum, Phil Schiller, Apple’s SVP of marketing, revealed that more than 20,000 education apps have already been built specifically for the iPad, and that 1.5 million iPads are being used in schools today.
