Zynga Appoints New Executive Director for Its Philanthropic Arm

Ken Weber has been appointed as executive director of Zynga.org, the social gaming company’s philanthropic division, to which players have contributed over the years. The company said earlier that a portion of its $1 billion stock offering in December will go toward charitable causes through Zynga.org. Weber spent the past six years as COO at The ONE Campaign, an advocacy organization focused on fighting poverty and preventable disease in Africa.
