Nokia Posts Huge Loss

Finland’s Nokia Corp., the world’s largest mobile-phone maker by volume, Thursday posted its third consecutive quarterly net loss, as handset sales dropped 29 percent on an annual basis.

The company swung to a crushing €1.07 billion ($1.4 billion) loss for the three months ended Dec. 31st, down from a €745 million profit in the same period last year. Group sales dropped 21 percent to €10 billion from €12.65 billion.
